An AMAZING Experience - Day One

What a wonderful spring break we had! We went on an Eastern Medditeranian cruise with stops in Rome, Palermo, Majorca, Valencia, Marseille, and Savona. It was such a great family vacation with a mix of adventure and relaxation! On our first day we drove from Luzern, Switzerland (where we stopped the night before) to Savona, Italy. When we woke up that morning it was snowing and by the time we arrived at the Italian Coast it was 70 degrees and sunny! The procedure to drop off our car and proceed onto the boat was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The crew on the Costa Serena were FANTASTIC and loved the kids! It was actually quite sad to leave our cabin steward Antonio and our head server Jenner.

This post is all about the ship and our time on it. I'll do more posts on each of the ports we stopped at.

Our ship Costa Serena

Jack waiting somewhat patiently to board the ship

Getting ready for the emergency drill. Costa takes this VERY SERIOUSLY since the incident earlier this year.

Jack just wanted to know if he could bring the Ipad with him.

Charlotte can wedge herself in anywhere!

One of our favorite places on the boat...the Chocolate Bar!

While Steve and I would sit and relax, drinking
cappuccinos, the kids would play their DS'. They had a blast, and so did we!

After our first nights' dinner. It was a great Easter!
