The first swim of the season

We purchased Isabella a small kiddie pool about a month ago, and today was the perfect day to start using it! With temperatures in the 90's, the cool water felt good, even this evening. Isabella had a blast! I'm sure there will be many more hot days this summer for pool time.

Isabella's new play shoes. I looked everywhere for a decent, yet inexpensive, pair of playshoes for her. These Crocs have little Mickey Mouse's on them! Isabella calls them her mimi shoes.

Isabella finally had the chance to use one of her birthday gifts from Cheryl, Michael and the Boys, a really cute Dora picnic table. We had some friends over for a cookout, so Isabella, Nathan and Sean enjoyed eating at the kids table.

Steve's Birthday and Other Fun Stuff

Steve's birthday was on Sunday, so before church Isabella helped him open his gifts. From Isabella and Baby Baker he received a Diaper Dude bag (so he doesn't have to complain about carrying around a "girly" baby bag anymore). I gave him a handgun safe (ahh, guns...) and a James Dobson book on raising boys. After church we went to a great local steak restaurant, where Steve could have all the red meat he wanted.







Isabella is still doing a great job drinking milk from her big girl cup. She has found a favorite spot to drink her milk before bed, in her rocking chair watching Pooh





Steve surprised me the other day with these beautiful flowers! My husband is the BEST!! He didn't complain at all tonight when I asked him to change a dirty diaper!

And the final answer is...

After having three separate due dates, the doctor finally decided that July 23rd is my "official" due date. So, it is safe to say that we'll have a baby boy at some point in July!

I had a funny/worrying dream recently, that I delivered a girl not a boy. It wouldn't be a big deal, except for the fact that I gave almost all of Isabella's clothes away, and the baby's room is FULL of airplane things!

She finally did it!

Many of you probably know of our struggle with Isabella drinking milk out of a sippy cup. Since switching to milk she's been drinking it out of a bottle, which is ok for a one year old, but a bit crazy for a two year old. Well, tonight she actually wanted to drink it out of a "special" cup. A couple of months ago I purchased a cup with a straw that was her "special" cup, hoping that she would drink her milk from it. As Isabella is with everything, it just has to be on her time and her idea. I was going to take a picture of her, but I didn't want to distract her from drinking. I am a happy Mommy tonight!
