We didn't have the Thanksgiving we had been looking forward to (Charlotte got sick on the way to Houston, so we had to come back home). Thankfully, she felt better enough to go pay a visit to Santa Claus.

The Nutcracker
Isabella had the amazing experience of being part of the Abilene Regional Ballet Companies production of The Nutcracker. She was an "Angel of Light." She enjoyed it so much, and was even tearful when the weekend was over. She looks forward to being part of it next year!

Last soccer game of the season
Jack had a great fall soccer season. He learned a lot about the game and the idea of team sports. It was neat to see him get better each week. He had a great coach and fun teammates. He'll be participating in indoor soccer during the winter months, and looks forward to being back with his outdoor soccer team in the spring.

The first day of school!
Isabella started 3rd grade and Jack started Kindergarten today. They were both very excited to meet their teachers and new classmates. We pray that they both have wonderful years academically and are wonderful examples of Christ's love.

Ballet and Soccer
Now that summer's over and the kids head back to school next week it's time to start ballet and soccer. This will be Jack's first season playing with a team, and the first time Charlotte has taken ballet. They are all looking forward to their fun activities.

South Padre Island
We spent the last week of summer vacation in South Padre Island. It was a wonderful family time at the beach and pool. On our way down we stopped in San Antonio to see some dear friends. The Busch's are stationed there for six months, and we enjoyed catching up with them.
The kids LOVED the ocean. Isabella was a boogie board pro by the time we left, Jack spent more time underwater than above (he's our fish) and Charlotte brought more sand home than anyone. We look forward to going back next year.
