The adventures of taking a Christmas card picture
Every year I look forward to picking out a Christmas card to send to family and friends and incluing a picture of the kids. When it was just Isabella, and she was a baby, it was easy. Put her in her Christmas dress and snap away. I had tons to choose from. Well, throw Jack (the Crazy Man) in the mix, and Isabella being older and having her own idea of how her picture should look, and you've got....FRUSTRATION! These are a few of the outakes, and the final choice.

I (HEART) Weihnachtszeit!
I love Christmastime, especially here in Germany! We set up our fresh Christmas tree (a first for me), and decorated the house. The only issues we've had so far is Jack's OBSESSION with the ornaments and Isabella asking every morning if it's Christmas day yet.
On Saturday we headed to our first Christmas market of the season in Heidelberg. It was cold, but so beautiful. The smells of wasel, roasted nuts, and gluhwein were so warming.

We're settled!
It's been a LONG time since I've posted. We finally have internet in the house, making it much easier to post (and do online Christmas shopping). I thought our first post from our new house should include pictures of our home. The kid's are loving all the space and their toys that have been in storage for so long. It was like Christmas day when all our items were delivered.
We were really blessed to find our house and be able to move in so quickly. Many people who were on our plane over are still waiting to get into their houses, as the housing market is quite tight right now. Our house is in a village only 5 mintues from the one we lived in the last time we were here. In fact, we drove by our new house everyday going to work the last time we were here. I couldn't have imagined that we'd be living here again, and in such a wonderful place. I told Steve quite often how much I liked the village and would love to live here. We have a grocery, bakery, florists all within walking distance. Our house is quite unusual as the front/first floor use to be a shoe shop, so our living area is on the second and third floor. The basement is known as the Man Cave as it has a bar with disco ball! Steve looks forward to getting a drum set to put down there, and I think that'll be the PERFECT place for it. :)

Probably one of the most sought after rooms in Germany...a walk in closet room. There are wardrobes the entire way around the room.

We're here!
Well, we've been here for a week now, and I haven't taken a single picture. :( We've been so busy running around doing "moving" things, that we haven't had a chance to do anything fun yet. We did find a house and are just waiting for the housing office and Landlady to work some paperwork issues out. HOPEFULLY we'll be moving into the house in a weeks time or so.
A lot has changed on base since the last time we were here. There's a great shopping "mall," new gym/pool and lot's of new roundabouts to make traffic move more smoothly.
Off base is still the same...beautiful scenery, lovely little villages with wonderful bakeries, and all the little quirks that come from living abroad. Isabella told us that she likes it here...good thing!
I was finally able to test for my driver's license so now we just need to get a second car. Once we have that and are settled into the house we'll be able to have more fun!
Though we miss everyone in the States so much, we are very excited to be here!

Catching up before moving on...
It's been a while since I posted pictures. It's been a busy month for us, and it's only going to get more crazy! Saturday we head to Baltimore where we'll spend a few days before heading overseas. We are SO EXCITED, yet sad to be leaving family.
The first picture is one that Isabella took. She LOVES taking pictures, and was so excited when her Nana and Poppy gave her a camera.
The last few days that we were in Little Rock I was pretty busy getting suitcases packed and things organized for the movers. While I was working around the TLF Jack was being ORNERY! I caught him in the trash eating the last of the Cheerios. Of course, I had to take a picture before telling him no, and taking the trash out. :)
This picture will be used for embarrassment!
I looked over at Isabella our last morning in Little Rock and all I saw were her legs. It was too cute. She was using the blanket to keep the sun out of her eyes.
It FINALLY cooled off enough our last few days in Little Rock that we were able to go out and enjoy the park on base.
Jack developed a slight fever a few days after we arrived at my parents house. It has pretty much been the only day in which he has sat still for longer than a minute or so. He just looked too cute holding his puppy.
The evenings in Indiana are gorgeous. I love Indiana in the fall. All the leaves changing, cool crisp mornings and evenings, and the smell of fires burning. We have really enjoyed my parents fire pit in the evenings.

It's on it's way!
We shipped our vehicle on Friday! It was very exciting, and provided many new questions for Isabella. The whole process took about 2 hours, so I was very glad the weather was beautiful so the kids and I could walk around outside.

After we dropped off the car we met up with Cheryl, Michael and the Boys for a fun weekend. The kids had a blast swimming, watching Toy Story 3 and wrestling with the boys. It was wonderful to see them before we head to Germany next month!
