More beach fun!

Steve finally had a weekend free, so off to the beach we went! Isabella is enjoying the ocean more and more, and will now bravely dunk her head in and then laugh! The beautiful water is something we'll definitely miss when we head back to Abilene.

A great time with old friends!

One of the best things about military life is moving from place to place and making new friends. This is also the hardest part of military life... moving from place to place and having to leave great friends. We had a chance this week, though, to meet up with some friends that we knew from our time at Ramstein, Jan and Amy. Jan was my boss at Embry-Riddle and Amy was just a year the last time we saw them. We had a great time catching up and they were able to meet Isabella.

Nana & Poppy Visit!

We had a wonderful 10 days with Mom and Dad Byers/Nana and Poppy. Isabella was, of course, spoiled rotten. She enjoyed having two more people to boss around and read books to her. They even brought her a tent that we set up in the living room. She had fun playing in it with both Nana and Poppy, and Daddy. We enjoyed a visit to the zoo, beach and several days at the pool. We are experiencing true Florida heat/humidity now, and let me tell you, it gives a whole new meaning to the word HOT!

We had a nice and relaxing 4th of July, forgoing the fireworks for the sake of Isabella's bedtime. Mom and I enjoyed our tradition of watching Pops goes the 4th and the 4th of July concert in Washington on TV.

Steve starts working days this coming week, so that means we are halfway through our time in Florida. We miss all our friends in Abilene and look forward to getting back home!
