The Waiting Game

Well, I'm 37 1/2 weeks, and we wait... We're waiting (and hopefully Baby Baker will comply) for my parents to arrive and anytime after that the baby is MORE THAN WELCOME to come. Sleep is hard to come by; I guess my body is just getting ready for nighttime feedings. :)

So, as we wait (sometimes impatiently), Steve has been spoiling me with flowers. Isabella has swallowed a barrette, and Jack has fallen out of a bed and added a nice goose egg to his forehead.

Ahhh, it's really going to be crazy around here with three!

What I saw when walking by the new baby swing this morning. Isabella says she's just making sure it's safe for her new baby sister.

The Nursery

It's hard to believe that I will be 35 weeks tomorrow! In some ways the time has flown by. Between moving two times, traveling, and running after Isabella and Jack the pregnancy has gone fast. Let's hope that the next five weeks go fast too. :) We're ready to meet Baby Girl Baker!

With the New Year came a major need to nest...so, up went the crib, wall decor, and thankfully the BX received a shipment of crib mattresses. All we need to do now is find a rug for the room and hang her name above her bed.

and...HER NAME!

First Day of Ballet!

Isabella had her first ballet class today, and she LOVED it! It was so cute to watch her! Her class will be performing several dances in the Sleeping Beauty ballet performance in April. As soon as we returned home she ran upstairs and grabbed her Sleeping Beauty doll and danced around with her.

A Fabulous Trip to England!

On Boxing Day we headed to England to visit family. At first we'd planned on taking the train, and considered flying with good'ole Ryanair, but finally decided on driving. It was an adventure. The weather in Europe had been quite snowy, but thank goodness things cleared up just in time to leave. We drove through France up to Calais where we caught a ferry to Dover, England. The kids LOVED the boat, and it was a nice break from driving. Docking in Dover amongst the white cliffs was beautiful.

We had a wonderful time visiting with family. We didn't do any sightseeing on this trip. We relaxed, shopped, and played at muddy playgrounds. Isabella enjoyed playing with Alana, Charley and Jenna, while Jack enjoyed being the only boy, though I think he missed having his sister's attention!

Jack knows a good thing when he sees it (Ribena!)

The White Cliffs of Dover (it was way too cold to stand outside and take any pictures)

Christmas

We had a fantastic time as a family this Christmas Eve and Day. We planned on going to the Christmas Eve service at our church, but the weather didn't cooperate. We ended up getting about 5 more inches of snow, so everything was canceled. The kids actually slept in till 9am on Christmas Day, which allowed Daddy to go and shovel the driveway and sidewalks before it was time for presents.

I can't express how absolutely wonderful it was to have Steve home this year!
