7 Months Old!

What are you up to Charlotte?

-You are on the go...rolling all over the living room. Isabella and Jack are learning that any toy that is small belongs in the playroom. Isabella is good at this...Jack is still learning. :) I've seen you push up with your legs a couple of times. I'm really not ready for you to crawl, so you can take your time on this one!

-You sit up nicely on your own, but usually go for your feet pretty quickly. I try to keep socks on you, but you definitely prefer to be sockless. We're going to have issues when it's wintertime.

-You LOVE to be the center of attention. But, you have to compete with your brother and sister, which usually means you are screeching very loud!

-You are eating really well. You have enjoyed everything we've given you so far (applesauce, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and bananas).

-You are not a huge fan of the excersaucer (much like your brother and sister). You prefer to be on the floor, sitting up in your bouncy seat or being held.

-You babble a lot and love saying Da, da, da, da.

-You are such a happy, almost always smiling, loveable baby girl.

First Day of Kindergarten

Isabella started Kindergarten today. She was so excited! Her school does a staggered start Kindergarten, which means that half of her class started yesterday, and the other half started today. This allows the teacher and her aide a bit more hands on time to help the children get use to the routine, etc. One of the things that I like about her school is that it's one of the smallest in the area, only having K-3rd grade. It's a little less intimidating for her. Also, the Kindergarteners have their own building.

I was little concerned about how Jack was going to react when we left the school since he was convinced that he was also starting school today. The teacher gave the parents a cute take home bag of Kleenex and chocolate kisses (to help us try our tears), so I gave Jack one of the chocolate kisses and he was happy.

It will be a new routine to get use to. We pray that the Lord truly blesses Isabella this school year, and that she can be a blessing to others! But, Mommy will really miss her! :) I can’t wait to pick her up this afternoon and hear all about her first day!
