A fun weekend!
Besides having great birthday for Jack on Sunday, we also had an awesome Saturday spent in Heidelberg. My cousin Will and his wife Liz came for a quick visit. It was wonderful seeing them again, and introducing them to Jack and Charlotte. The last time we were with them Isabella was Charlotte's age!
Whenever we have guests in town we love to take them to Heidelberg. It's a great German town that is just a short drive away. There is a beautiful castle, lovely cafes to eat at in the town square and some fun shopping. It's a very picturesque town.

5 Months Old!
Wow Charlotte, you're five months old today!

What have you been up to this month?
-You have found your lungs, and love to be LOUD! I use to think you were going to be the easy one on the flight back to the States later this summer. Now, all bets are off! I think your older sissy is going to be the easy one.
-You have started to roll from your back to your stomach, but not from your stomach to your back. You get too frustrated and start screaming. Plus, Isabella likes to "rescue" you. (She hates it when you get upset).
-You are more and more interested in what Isabella and Jack are doing. Once you are really mobile you are going to be in the middle of whatever they are doing.
-You are on a really good schedule at home, but do really well when we're out and about and things are different.
-You prefer to be sitting up and looking around to being on your back or stomach. You like to know what's going on around you.

Happy Birthday Jack Jack!
Today our Jack is 3 years old! What a fabulous little boy he has become!

Jack on the balcony, sporting a new bruise on his forehead.
He had a wonderful birthday (or so it seemed from his smile, laughs and goofiness). He loved having his Uncle Will and Aunt Liz here to help celebrate as well! We got up early, had breakfast, and then Jack ran for the presents! But, we had to do the polite thing and open up the cards first.

This is the first time that Jack has really been excited to rip open the wrapping paper.

Baby Sissy Charlotte watching.

Jack's fabulous Toy Story cupcakes. If you ever need an excellant cake baker/decorator and live in the Ramstein area let me know. I highly recommend the girl that did Jack's cupcakes.

Jack looking a bit tired after his day of celebrating!

Isabella thoroughly enjoyed her cupcake and glass of milk.

Picture time with Will and Liz before they headed to the train station.

She rolls!
No picture, but more for my own memory when I finally get a chance to catch up in Charlotte's baby book, she rolled! She was on her playmat and next thing I know she's on her tummy looking up for help. We were busy cleaning up from dinner and getting things ready for our outing tomorrow, so we didn't see her actual roll, but it still counts. My baby is growing up fast! No more leaving her on our bed!
