Fun with the cousins

More than anything, the kids had fun playing with Alana, Charley and Jenna.  They all got along so well, which made the goodbyes even harder.

The Bucks County Fair

We LOVED spending our Thursday at the Bucks County Fair!  It was great seeing all the older gentlemen in the suits and ties with their dogs in tow.  There was something for everyone.  There was a tent full of homemade cheeses, jams, and breads for sale.  There were doggies to pet, sheep being sheared, cows being paraded around and show horse jumping.  There were rides and games for kids, and even a Top Gear game for Steve!  :)  The kids loved their face painting, and Claire and I enjoyed our cup of tea while we waited for them to finish.  We even had a celebrity sighting.  One of the judges from The Great British Bake Off was at the fair to film a portion of the show.  

Visiting Friends in Oxford!

We had the wonderful opportunity to visit some great friends in Oxford.  I grew up with Austin, who is now a research professor at Oxford University.  We actually hadn't seen each other in over 12 years, as both of our families have moved around a lot since graduating from college.  He and his wife Molly have three fabulous children, Elliot, Nora and Everett.  It was great having Austin show us around the city and the kids being able to play together.  We can't wait till we're both back the the US and can visit each other again.

A Day at Wendover

We spent Tuesday at the Wendover Woods and village.  The kids always enjoy going to the woods and playing around.  We took a nice picnic lunch and had a lovely day outdoors.  The village is so typically "British" with a red telephone booth, small church and several boutiques.  Steve even found a airplane museum to check out.
