Barcelona Day Three

Our last day in Barcelona was Isabella's birthday.  She was so excited that she woke up at 4:30am and brought Jack with her.  :)  Needless to say we were all a bit tired.  Isabella opened up the birthday gifts that we brought with us, we ate a yummy breakfast and then headed to the La Boqueria market.  The La Boqueria is an amazing place full of every type of fruit, vegetable, meat, seafood, and olives imaginable.  In the afternoon, while Jack and Charlotte were resting, Steve and Isabella headed to Gaudi's Casa Batlló.  Isabella watched a documentary on the Casa Batlló before we went to Barcelona, and it was the one thing she really wanted to see.  It is an amazing house with balconies at the lower floors that have bone-like pillars, those on the upper floors look like pieces of skulls. These features gave the house the nickname 'House of Bones'.  The colorful scaled roof looks like reptile skin, and represents a dragon.  The inside is just as unique as the outside.  We ended our day with a birthday dinner at Hard Rock...where it's so loud it doesn't matter that the kids are loud too!  :)
